These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and CodeQuest Arcade ("CodeQuest", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If a child under 18 uses the service, the parent or legal guardian accepts these Terms on the child's behalf.
CodeQuest is designed for learners aged 10–14, who must have parent or guardian consent before signing up. Adults may use the service to learn, supervise a child, or evaluate the product. If you are under 13 and live in the United States, EU, or UK, you must not create an account without verifiable parental consent.

Code, text and profile choices you submit remain yours. You grant CodeQuest a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display and process that content solely to operate, secure and improve the service. You confirm you have the right to submit the content and that it does not violate anyone's rights.
Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions may only be purchased by an adult (18+). Prices, billing cycle, and refund rules are displayed at checkout. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider; we never store full card numbers. You may cancel a subscription at any time; it will not renew at the end of the current period.
CodeQuest is an educational product. Lessons are simplified for learning and are not professional cybersecurity, legal, financial or engineering advice. Always supervise children when they connect their projects to the wider internet.
All CodeQuest content (lessons, characters, artwork, code templates, brand) is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the service for learning.
The service may link to or rely on third-party tools (e.g. hosting, AI APIs). We are not responsible for the content or practices of third parties.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent allowed by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CodeQuest and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for gross negligence, fraud, or harm to a child caused by our wilful misconduct).
You agree to indemnify and hold CodeQuest harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the service or violation of these Terms.
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that present a safety, legal or security risk.
We may update these Terms. If changes are material we will notify account holders. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which CodeQuest's operating entity is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence still apply.
